The Academy

To be true disciples we must understand all aspects of our faith and our Christian walk. In 2011 Pastor Fowler wanted the congregation of Victory to be True Disciples of Christ and created what would be an on-going educational program that would increase and build biblical knowledge for the members of Victories congregation. The first term took place during the spring of 2011 with over 500 students and in excess of 600 participants. The success was overwhelming and ended with a graduation on April 6, 2011. All graduates received certificates and were excited to know that a new set of classes would be starting in June to instruct and reveal the principles and application of Stewardship.

For fifty years, Victory Missionary Baptist Church has grown and prospered, even in the face of challenges, but with an unrelenting faith in God, support of our Pastor, Dr. Robert E. Fowler Sr., and the focus on the VISION he has graciously provided. “Where the Lord is Lifted and the Word is Learned”

So much good happens in the Churches we build. Think of the little children that will be, and have been baptized here, these children will develop a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and grow up to marry here and have families of their own, that will be baptized here as well. Think of how with God’s will, we will comfort people in times of stress, hardship and in the death of a loved one; think how the lives of countless people will be changed because of Victory’s presence and determination to serve this growing community of Las Vegas and the world.

At Victory we will respond to these changes in our society. We know that the American promise equal treatment and freedom is not always shared by all among us. God will guide our thoughts and our actions, we will work in favor of preserving the dignity of all people, regardless of their social condition or race. Our ministries are designed to keep our faith active so that God’s work will continue forever. We at Victory understand that some people have lost their way, some are behind bars that seek redemption, but we understand that we are all God’s children.

As Victory stands in Her place, she is looking through those beautiful windows and sees people looking for meaning and purpose in life.

Victory fosters a ministry that is both person and problem centered. Victory is not ready to build for God until the Master Builder has shaped us with that which is not made with hands but to that which is eternal in the heavens. It is to this we bind our hearts. With the training, direction and Leadership of our Pastor, Dr. Robert E. Fowler Sr., all will be ministered to by members this congregation for we know that Jesus said: “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
